The Problem

Silicon Generates Heat.
Heat Constrains Performance.
This Is Physics.

Every processor — GPU, CPU, or specialised accelerator — operates within a defined thermal envelope. When sustained workloads push a processor toward its thermal design limit, hardware protection mechanisms automatically reduce operating frequency.

The processor is protected. The workload is not. In sustained AI training, inference, and scientific compute, this translates directly to extended run times, inconsistent throughput, and unpredictable service quality.

A parallel constraint affects memory. When a long-running process exhausts available system memory, the operating system terminates it — without warning, without partial output, and without recourse.

Both failure modes share the same characteristic: they are disruptive. CARDIAC-PURR and PURR Shield are designed to keep compute jobs running without interruption.

CARDIAC-PURR GPU performance management system

CARDIAC-PURR is the first solution deployable directly by cloud tenants that eliminates thermal throttling and sustains peak GPU performance — with no changes to the underlying infrastructure.

The algorithm draws on biological systems — specifically the cardiac nervous system and feline frequency patterns. Just as the heart preserves rhythmic stability through feedback, CARDIAC-PURR maintains thermal equilibrium through feedback control deployed through software.

This bio-inspired design enables proactive thermal management that keeps compute performance stable before constraint boundaries are reached.

Commercial Impact

You Already Paid for That Performance.
Now You Can Use It.

Your cloud bill does not change whether the GPU throttles at 937 MHz or runs at 1,153 MHz. You are paying for the full L4 instance regardless. CARDIAC-PURR simply unlocks the performance you already paid for but cannot access.

At +4.6% effective throughput, a 100-GPU L4 fleet gains the functional equivalent of 4 to 5 extra GPUs — zero procurement, zero setup, zero infrastructure changes. That is $141,000 in gross recovered compute value annually. Your competitors running identical instances at identical prices are leaving that money on the table. You are not.

As GPU architectures advance — from 700W per processor to over 2,300W in next-generation platforms — the gap between reactive and proactive thermal management becomes the defining performance differentiator. Hardware cooling alone cannot address what is fundamentally a software-layer problem.

In the European Union, the Energy Efficiency Directive requires data centres exceeding 500 kW to measure and report energy performance and to adopt efficiency-first decisions for all new technical installations. Proactive thermal control directly improves Power Usage Effectiveness and aligns operational practice with binding EU efficiency obligations.

Regulatory Context

EU AI Act Alignment
Governance Is Now a Legal Obligation.

The EU Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation 2024/1689) entered into full application in August 2026. Organisations deploying AI systems in regulated sectors — including healthcare, finance, legal, and critical infrastructure — face binding obligations for risk management (Article 9), logging and traceability (Article 12), transparency (Article 13), and human oversight (Article 14).

The CARDIAC-PURR Intelligence Platform is designed to operate as governance infrastructure: every routing decision is logged, every provider substitution is auditable, and policy constraints are enforced deterministically before responses are returned. This makes it directly applicable to enterprises operating under EU AI Act obligations.

ARTICLE 9
Risk Management
Continuous risk assessment and policy enforcement across all model interactions.
ARTICLE 12
Logging & Traceability
Every execution decision logged, timestamped, and auditable. Full operational transparency.
ARTICLE 13
Transparency
Deterministic execution governance replaces black-box model behaviour with measurable outcomes.
ARTICLE 14
Human Oversight
Configurable guardrails and fallback chains keep human operators in control of AI execution.

Note: CARDIAC-PURR Intelligence Platform is designed to support EU AI Act compliance obligations. This does not constitute legal advice. Organisations should conduct their own legal assessment of applicable requirements.

The Inventor

Emil Igidov is a business- and technology-oriented lawyer practising across Sweden, Denmark, and Poland. His legal training reflects a core professional discipline: constructing robust frameworks under constraint, documenting outcomes with evidentiary precision, and establishing defensible priority positions.

This discipline underpins the development of CARDIAC-PURR and PURR SHIELD.

A 200+ hour zero-throttle validation run on leading cloud GPU hardware, a telemetry chain secured through MD5 verification and UUID-level traceability, and a USPTO filing dated March 14, 2026 — these are not typical software outputs — they reflect a methodology grounded in evidentiary rigour and legal-grade defensibility.

"CARDIAC-PURR represents the first validated system in this line of work. It is not the last."

Research & Roadmap

The Principle Is Proven.
Innovation Continues.

CARDIAC-PURR and PURR SHIELD established that a proactive control layer — deployed through software, without hardware access, without infrastructure changes, without administrator access — can eliminate the two most costly failure modes in sustained GPU compute.

The underlying principle is not specific to thermal physics or memory management. It applies to any system governed by hard constraints where violation carries significant cost: a control layer that keeps the system within boundaries prevents the failure rather than documenting it.

Two new inventions are in active development.
